For independent-living communities
A complement to your team, not a replacement for it.
Meadowlark Concierge works alongside independent living communities to help residents settle in, get engaged, and stay independent longer.
The resident who slips through
You know the resident we’re talking about.
They moved in a few months ago. They’re polite, capable, and quietly not participating. They don’t come to programming. They haven’t made friends. Your staff notices, and your staff is already stretched across an entire community.
That resident is who we’re built for. We work with one person at a time, on their schedule, at their pace.
How we help residents
What our involvement can do
Become more engaged
A reason to show up, and someone who notices when they don’t.
Discover activities
Programming matched to what actually interests them, not just what’s on the calendar.
Navigate resources
Community services and outside resources, found and followed through.
Adjust to the transition
The first months after a move are the hardest. That is where we spend the most time.
Maintain independence
Support that helps a resident stay capable rather than quietly taking over.
Connect with others
Introductions and shared interests, so the community becomes theirs.
On-site hours
Put Meadowlark on your calendar.
Rather than waiting for individual residents to find us, your community can book recurring on-site hours — a standing weekly afternoon, a morning every other week, whatever suits. Residents sign up for a slot, and we come to them.
How it works
-
Choose the cadence
Weekly, biweekly, or monthly. We’ll recommend a starting point based on the size of your community and how often residents move in.
-
We hold the time
The same day and the same hours each cycle, so it becomes part of the rhythm of the building rather than something residents have to remember to arrange.
-
Residents book a slot
Your team can keep the sign-up sheet at the front desk or in the activities calendar. Appointments are private; what’s discussed stays between us and the resident.
-
We follow through after
Most of the work happens between visits — the research, the phone calls, the coordination. Residents leave with something handled, not just discussed.
Why communities offer it
- A real amenity. Something concrete to point to on a tour that most communities in the market don’t have.
- Pressure off your staff. The technology questions, the research requests, the “can someone help me figure out…” asks that aren’t anyone’s job land with us instead.
- Early signal. A familiar face who sees residents regularly tends to notice when someone is withdrawing, well before it shows up elsewhere.
- Stronger retention. Residents who feel connected in the first year are residents who stay.
- Families notice. Adult children hear that someone checks in on their parent, and it changes how they feel about the place.
Some communities cover the hours as a resident benefit. Others host the time and residents engage privately. We’re glad to work out whichever fits your model.
Where the line is
We stay in our lane.
We are not a home health agency, a housekeeping service, a transportation company, or a therapy practice. We don’t duplicate your programming, direct your staff, or interject ourselves into community operations.
Whether we’re engaged privately by a resident’s family or booked by your community for scheduled hours, the job is the same: helping that resident get more out of the community they already chose. Residents are never obligated to work with us, and what they share with us stays with us.
Let’s talk about your residents.
We’re glad to meet with your leadership or resident services team to explain how the service works and where it fits. We serve the Kansas City Metro Area.
