About
The professional in the middle.
Between total independence and traditional senior care, there was nothing. We built Meadowlark Concierge to fill that space.
Our mission
To help older adults build meaningful, independent lives in their new communities, and to give their families confidence that someone trustworthy is in their corner.
Our vision
Support and independence are not in conflict.
A move that doesn’t cost you yourself
Where moving into independent living doesn’t mean losing connection, purpose, or confidence.
No more false choice
Where families don’t have to choose between “Mom is completely on her own” and “We need to take over.”
Both things at once
Where professional support and personal independence work together rather than against each other.
Meet the founder
Andrea Dunseth, LSCSW, LCSW, LICSW
Andrea is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Kansas, Missouri, and Massachusetts. She founded Meadowlark Concierge after seeing the same pattern again and again: older adults who were fully capable of running their own lives, but who had lost the informal network that used to make daily life work. A neighbor who checked in. A friend who drove. An adult child who lived ten minutes away instead of ten states away.
They didn’t need a caregiver. They didn’t need a therapist. They needed a trusted person who knew them, understood aging, knew the local landscape, and could help them figure out whatever came next.
Why a clinician
What a clinical background brings to concierge work
As an LCSW, Andrea brings professional training in:
- Aging and life transitions
- Family dynamics
- Social connection and isolation
- Community resources
- Systems navigation
- Independence and autonomy
- Communication and advocacy
- Recognizing when additional support may be appropriate
That last point matters. Part of the value of a clinically trained concierge is knowing what you’re looking at, and knowing when it’s time to raise a question rather than wait.
What we are
We are the professional in the middle.
When something changes or a question comes up, our clients have someone they can call who already knows them. No intake process. No starting over. No explaining the whole story again.
One trusted relationship. Multiple solutions.
What we are not
We are clear about our lane, because the clarity protects our clients.
Not a home health agency
We do not provide medical or personal care.
Not a housekeeping service
We are not domestic help, and we don’t arrange it as a core service.
Not a transportation company
We help clients navigate transportation options. We are not the ride.
Not a therapy practice
Andrea’s clinical background informs the work, but this is not treatment.
Specifically, we do not provide:
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Toileting
- Medication administration
- Hands-on personal care
- Nursing
- Therapy
- Medical advice
- Diagnosing
- Managing medications
- Providing transportation as a transportation service
What we do is help clients connect, navigate, plan, advocate for themselves, and stay independent. When something falls outside that, we help find the right professional who handles it.
Have a question about whether this is the right fit?
A short conversation is the best place to start. We’ll talk about the situation, answer questions, and tell you honestly if we’re not the right match.
Or call (913) 667-7716.
